The 45-year-old hasn’t been seen since leaving her home 20 kilometres away in Youghal on March 24, 2017
FRAGMENTS of a woman’s clothing have been found during a search for missing Tina Satchwell.
The 45-year-old hasn’t been seen since leaving her home 20 kilometres away in Youghal on March 24, 2017.
It is understood they have found items of interest in the woodland after a week of searching.
These have been sent to Dublin for forensic examination.
The search teams which include gardai, specialist dogs including cadaver dogs brought in from England and members of the army have covered over half of the 40 acres.
A source told us: “We are pleased with the progress to date and have come across a number of items which could prove helpful in the case.
“But until forensic examinations of these have been completed in Dublin, we have to wait to see how useful the discoveries are.”
Officers investigating Tina’s disappearance ramped up their search following a tip-off from a “credible witness”.
